A wonderful selection of sushi rolls, along with a variety of other options. We were a group of four and we were served quickly by a very sweet lady. She made sure our drinks were kept refilled and checked with us often. I had theTarantula roll and it was delicious. I don't remember what the others ordered, but everyone was very happy with their food. Can't wait to go back.
Popular Sushi joint in the mall. Tables turned over quickly and efficiently. They were nearly full on a Sunday st 4.30 pm. The staff were very attentive. The Avocado Salad was generously portioned with crab meat, seaweed and other fresh ingredients. The Nabe Udon was huge with chicken, shrimp tempura and a freshly cracked egg. The hefty Matsu Roll featured a favorite, soft shell crab, and also included grilled eel. Very casual spot for tasty Japanese food with good service and good value.
Food was amazing ! Service was ok. I will say I felt like there was only 1 waitress waiting on all the tables so she was a bit everywhere .. but she did as good as should could . Chicken Fried Rice was BOMB! Loved the Manteca Roll!
Always awesome service!! Food is great, always hits the spot!! Their menu is extensive...some Korean dishes which are also very good. Our favorite spot for Japanese food. A once a week dinner destination.
We have stopped here a few times over the years coming back from Yosemite back to the city. It's easy to get to and we are quickly seated. The rolls are big and flavorful. We enjoyed the Cajun, Philadelphia experiment, tarantula roll and a two others. They have a tv with football playing while a radio station plays music with commercials. There are two, four and six tops. We were promptly greeted and sat down. We enjoy the food each time.
Randomly was on the way home from work and decide to go on a food adventure. That adventure landed me at Matsu Sushi. The service at Matsu is very mom and pop style. The food to me is pricey but at the same time its delicious. I had the Mexican roll and fried calamari and some other sushi roll. The calamari is really good in my humble opinion. Matsu Sushi is good and is worthy of 4 stars.
My boyfriend and I visited Matsu Sushi on Sunday, 10/22/23, during lunchtime. We decided to order a variety of different rolls such as the Cajun Tuna Roll, Mango Tango Roll, Samurai Roll, and Rainbow Roll. The presentation of the plating was beautiful, especially with the purple orchid. The rolls were prepared huge in every single bite. All of the rolls were tasty. My favorite out of the four was the Samurai Roll. We also got two of the Spicy Yellowtail Hand Rolls and one Philadelphia Hand Roll. Both were great, however, I truly enjoyed the Spicy Yellowtail the most. The quality of the yellowtail fish tasted amazing and the spicy sauce brought the entire roll together. The service of the staff members was nice, quick and pleasant. The restaurant was also nicely decorated on the inside. Overall, Matsu Sushi serves great, gigantic rolls. I recommend coming here.
